Greetings Friend,

 Welcome to Permission to Pause and an Unstuck Christmas Devotional! 

I invite you to Pause for a few minutes each day during the holy month of December. 

Together we will take the sacred journey through the Love Letter found in Luke Chapters 1 and 2. 

Every year I gather a few close friends and family to share an intentional time of quiet reflection in these timeless scriptures. 

Since I am always praying and planning reasons for us to get together here on this podcast--I would love to have YOU join me this year. 

These short (5 minute) devotions came straight from my personal prayer journals and are ready to be gently mixed with your own. The season that heightens on Thanksgiving and calms on Christmas Day is truly to be treasured. By using this devotional tool together, we have made an INTENTIONAL CHOICE to keep our Christmas UNSTUCK and free, allowing us to BE and RECEIVE some special BLESSINGS!

You can use the pages provided each day for your personal devotions in the “YOUR HEART” space provided. 

Every Christmas season is different so be sure to use this FRESH VERSION for a FRESH look into the birth of Jesus.

To enhance our time together we will be meeting as a reading group via The Unstuck Woman Club on Facebook for more personal interaction and to share ideas with other women! We are looking straight ahead at a change of seasons. Have you had a prayer request; a dream; a worn out worry that has heated up your Summer? 
Let's prepare for a change of season by starting with a Faith Check up--

As a woman, just like you, who has navigated many seasons of life—being a wife, a Mom and a now a Grandmother; having my own businesses, followed by a call to a FT ministry of speaking and writing—I am well aware of the intentional decision it takes for dedication to pausing in God’s presence. 

 

First let’s remember the REASON we take permission to pause--

 

We Pause for Worship

Pause for silence

Pause for creativity

Pause for REST

Pause for Play

Pause for perspective

Pause for NEXT STEPS

 

Just to mention a few of the reason God calls us to pause in has presence. 

 

So lets PAUSE for a few minutes about the where, when and how we might look for those unexpected opportunities to enjoy a bit of silence with Jesus.

The last few weeks of Permission to Pause have taken us on a  journey through the powerful 13 verses of 2 John--this weeks episode takes us from the deep concept of deception to the heart concept of personal relationships--lets dig a little deeper together!

“The angel of the Lord asked him, why have you beaten your donkey these three times? I have come here to oppose you because your path is a reckless one before me.” Numbers 22:32

 

I love the story of Balaam’s donkey from Numbers chapter 22. For me, it is one of those Bible stories that sends me back to VBS as a young girl— I guess there was something about a talking donkey in the Bible that stuck in my memory.
